Times of Malta posted an article in regards to organic farming in Europe, which should be given attention by Philippe van den Bossche, amongst others. Names the likes of Philippe know all too well how important it is to stay healthy and, without question, the most organic crops should be seen as well. A European Commission publication, back in 2011, stated that all but 0.2 percent of the land in Malta failed to bring about these types of products. It's an important point, to say the least.
There were steps taken in terms of cultivation, though, so do not believe that work has not been done. The article said that even though there were steps taken, the situation since 2007 has been left largely unchanged. There were only 20 hectares added to help organics come about, with three more being seen since 2011 as well. There are so many benefits to consider as far as organic growth is concerned and the many points associated with it should be looked into. Which points are the most important, you may wonder?
First of all, keep in mind that organic crops are not subject to pesticide exposure, which is one of the many points that help to make them healthy. Secondly, what about the level of interaction that is seen between various parties? The business that happens from farmer to consumer is very local, which is exactly the type of scope that should be had as far as farming of this caliber is concerned. This, more than anything else, will bring about some of the best crops that can be imagined.
Philippe van den Bossche understands that there is a certain level of awareness that should be brought to particular areas of the world. Not every one of them understands the importance behind organic cultivation, even with all of the benefits that accompany it. Does this necessarily mean that they will not be able to bring them to the forefront at all? In time, I have to believe that some of the most ideal crops will be able to come to the surface in the long term.
