"To write or not to write?" --That is not the question. If you are a writer at heart, you are going to write. The questions are: "What?" and "For whom?" If you write with only yourself in mind, you will likely receive rejection letters. You need a different approach, one that is aimed toward a particular audience.

Keep your content current and make sure that older content is timeless. While things change all the time, try adding an updated link to old articles. If visitors find old articles first with outdated information, they can find the current version easily through your implemented link. Take advantage of having options on your site that allow readers to organize articles by most recent and by related content.

Every once in a while you should take some of the top news stories from the past and showcase them on the cover of your newsletter. This is a good idea because some of the readers may have overlooked an article and they will get the chance to read it.

Give your visitors information that is useful. People want to feel like they're getting something from the articles they read, and if they're happy with what they've read, they're sure to come back for more.

Use specific, concrete words in your title. Your article's title should concisely describe what the reader can expect to learn from the article. An example of a bad title might be "Working at home," while a much better title for the same article might be "How to Make Money in Your Spare Time Writing Article Marketing Tips on Amazon Mechanical Turk."

After your article has been accepted and published at an article directory, remember to visit it, and verify that all the links in the article function properly. Good links are a major part of any article advertising strategy. Broken links will be penalized by search engines, hurting or even erasing the positive value of publishing a linked article.

Write only for your readers. While a large part of article syndication is appealing to search engines and article databases, if you write your articles for them, you will lose readers. Losing these readers actually will place you lower on search engine lists, essentially having the opposite effect of your original intentions.

To find new blogs and sites where you post your content, just contact them directly and ask. If you find a sports blog, for example, you can contact them and mention that you'll write a great article for their site if they allow you (and you only) to link to your site in the author bio or title line. This is a good way to increase your web presence.

All types of various marketing approaches tie in together via the internet, and article marketing is undoubtedly one of the "mother sauces," so to speak, from which a wide variety of other techniques are born. If you can get better at article syndication, you can really be a successful entrepreneur, so make sure to apply the tips you've read here.
