Quitting a job is actually the last resort if one person is already unsatisfied with it. If you feel that the job is not helping you further hone your skills or reward you in any way, it is not uncommon to quit your job.

You start to question - is this really what I want? Can't I have another job? Monday to Friday of exhausting work and then just have a breathe of fresh air during Saturdays and Sundays?

You begin to feel that you're wasting your future over the wrong career choice.

Things should not be this way. Many people who have resigned from their jobs became successful from their new jobs or from their own businesses.

Before you submit that resignation letter, it is but essential that you think over it first.

First, you will need to validate the reason for your resignation and make sure it is not only because your colleagues are talking back at you or backstabbing you. Should you be having difficulties in achieving your goals in your job then it would be wise for you to resign.

Then, you would need a good understanding of what is happening. Know the things that make you want to quit your current job. Is it because you prefer to do things your own way and don't want others to interfere? Probably you don't have the respect that you deserve? Or maybe because your job does not help you to improve your skills?

Because you're leaving your job you're not enjoying doesn't mean you'll get a better job. Think carefully if the decision you've chosen will help you attain your goals. Understand that having to leave behind a job which you no longer have interest in will not lead you to something better - it only helps you rid of your current state. Try to ask yourself if you are looking for a job with lots of breaks or free time. Would you prefer a job that gives you more responsibility? Or perhaps little or no responsibility? Get paid using your creativity? Something that is more complex? Be specific with what you want and what you would like to do in your life.

You should also have plan prior to leaving the job which you currently have. Action is quite important indeed however it is essential that think of this plan. If you think you deserve to someplace else rather than doing your current job then have a detailed plan which you can follow after you've quit. It is essential that you finish this plan before leaving your job. Make further research on the business which you are looking to have, job openings for jobs which you love to do, retail spaces for a business you are planning and others.

Having to lay out a plan you can execute after your resignation reinforces your decision. You will have a peace of mind once you know that you have a plan to follow after you leave your job. The plan will even boost your confidence and will help you look forward to better opportunities. After which you have come up with a plan that will take you to better situation, you can then sign that resignation and hand it over to your boss with a smile.
