Immersion brewing method is really simple, but requires quite a lot of your time. It produces delicious coffee, sweet without bitter notes, well balanced and with low acidity levels. All you need is a large glass container, freshly ground coffee and water. And you will need some patience, of course. Usual ratio is one to eight, but this depends on your personal taste. Some people rather use one to six ratio instead, to make it all a little bit stronger.
All you have to do is to put everything together and let it sit there for fifteen to twenty hours. Strain the mixture and it's done. The good thing is that this lovely beverage can be kept in refrigerator for days without losing the taste. And the taste is absolutely amazing, balanced and smooth, with caramel notes and full.
Ice drip requires special device. Today, there are some simple devices that can be bought quite cheaply, but without precise drip regulation, you won't be able to achieve the same results. Anyway, the whole point is that water should slowly drip on container filled with ground coffee, passing through it, into the jar. This process may last for maybe ten hours or so.
One drop in a second, it is really slow, yes, but you will simply love this aromatic beverage. Acidity level will be higher, but you will be able to find different taste levels as well, including beautiful fruity notes you simply have to adore. Both methods produce excellent beverages, and if you prefer this one, maybe you should invest in this equipment.
In any case, once you make your favorite cold beverage, you can use it for designing wonderful icy drinks you will positively enjoy. Here are some recipes you can use for the inspiration. Nutty milk pleasure is easy to make and doesn't require too much time. For this recipe you need 50 grams almonds, 2 tbs brown sugar and a pinch of cinnamon, as well as 200ml water, 200 ml cold brew coffee and 100ml vanilla ice cream.
Roast the almonds in the pan for a few seconds, let them cool and then put them in your food processor. Process them and add 200 ml water. Filter the mixture and combine with brown sugar and cinnamon. Add your previously prepared coffee and vanilla ice cream. Decorate with cinnamon stick and enjoy.
Caramel touch will be a nice surprise. You will need two tbs sugar, 100 ml milk, 50 ml coffee liqueur and 300 ml cold brew. Caramelize sugar in the pan and pour milk over it. Let it cool and filter the mixture. Combine all the ingredients and serve in a large glass filled with ice. You can also add some ice cream on the top if you like.
